Workshops Multi day experience. Walkshops 4 to 5 hours.
Join me on a unique beach where tea tree forests meet the ocean. Photograph the story of driftwood caught in sand, washed with gentle waves, formed into works of art. Every time I go to this beach there is something different in this ever-changing landscape.
You will learn how to use water movement as an important part of the composition. This will be achieved with observation of the water direction and speed then captured with timing and filters. There will be a ICM (intentional camera movement) technique part as well. This 4 hour workshop will excite your creativity and give you real skills to use whenever water movement is desired.
You will need to know how to change settings on your camera like aperture, shutter speed, iso. Equipment needed will be a tripod, remote control/shutter release for operating the camera without touching it. Filters needed are a circular polarizer that can be stacked with a neutral density filter of 3 or 6 stops. A 10 stop neutral density filter would give you more options but is not necessary. Lenses needed would be something around 16-35mm and a 24-70mm. You will be standing in moving water with a possibility of sharp wood sticking out of the sand so you will need shoes on. $40 per person.

If you're ready to explore the amazing granite belt and adventure through this inspiring place! Grab your camera, free your spirit, and be guided to some epic locations with other adventurers. Landscape photography captures the moments you engage with the landscape, memories of the interesting things you noticed. Girraween at this time of year is full of wildflowers and hopefully a nice flow of water in the streams. Along the way you will be taught;
• Two bonus photoshop nights of 2-3 hours, one before workshop, and one after to prepare/reflect on the skills you have learned/used in your photography. I will show you how to blend photos using various techniques including luminosity masks. Also, I will take you through focus stacking.
• The Capture Process hard copy handouts.
• How to notice different light properties, construct compositions and learn my capture techniques.
• How to capture what YOU see and produce a great image of it. What you see is unique to you and a “one of a kind”
• How to use “in the field techniques” to creatively capture all the parts of your composition to process it better in Photoshop.
• Camera Settings, focus techniques, colour, contrast, light painting and creative artistry.
